Event summary
Experience fall in the Ozarks as you run, jog, or walk 26.2 miles of gently rolling hills in south central Missouri, in support of our military. The marathon will begin at the Commons Fairground in Salem and end at the beautiful Lions Club Park in Rolla. Most of the course will be along Highway 72; course is hilly, but almost entirely paved.

TRAVEL:
Rolla is centrally located in Missouri, roughly 100 miles from either St. Louis or Springfield; Salem is 25 miles south of Rolla. Marathon participants will be bused from Lions Club Park in Rolla to the Commons Fairground in Salem.
PACKET PICK UP:
Marathon participants need to pick up their packet the evening before the race at the Salem Community Center @ The Armory, 1200 W Rolla St, Salem, between the hours of 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM.
Late packet pick up will be offered the morning of the race from 5 to 5:45 AM at the Lions Club Park in Rolla.

START TIMES:
Buses with Marathoners will leave Lions Club Park in Rolla at 6 AM SHARP! The Marathon event will start at 7 AM at the Commons Fairground in Salem. Event will be held rain or shine, and cancelled only in event of extreme weather conditions.
TIMING:
Timing is being provided by Big River Race Management.
GIVEAWAYS:
- Marathon participants will receive a medal upon completion; a t-shirt; and transportation to the start point.
- All participants will be given a bib to list names of a veteran(s) or servicemen they wish to honor, or to wear as they compete.
Time limit:
The marathon course time limit is seven hours. That is a 16 minute mile-plenty of time for walkers!
